As our last great (international) adventure for a while, we spent 10 days in China in March with my parents.  It was fascinating to be in a country with more than 5,000 years of civilized history.  We saw many sites, including The Garden of the Humble Administrator in Suzhou, The Great Wall near Beijing and the Tera Cotta Warriors in Xi’an.  China was pretty dirty with lots of pollution in every city, although the tour guides will be quick to tell you the smog is a result of “dust storms.”  Overall, it was a fascinating trip, and we had a great time.

My only complaint about the trip was with United Airlines, who I will never fly again.  To find out why, check out the saga of our trip home.
